i just downloaded the source code, to see if i can update it to vs2015 community and i couldnt... any help or guide? I really like to continue but the error i get isnt helpful about what is going on... perhaps some1 with more info might help me:

(Error: Birthright Manager \ Birthright Manager.ls3proj: the application in which this type of project is based wasnt found. Follow this link for more information: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=628321&projecttype=8A4D642E-824A-4D58-BD56-648CC30C8F17)

Perhaps is about Silverlight?

Hi,

the ls3proj means Visual Studio LightSwitch 3 Project, which probably doesn't come with Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition. Reading the following blog post:

http://blog.pluralsight.com/visual-studio-lightswitch-2015

It seems you need to install the Office Tools for VS 2015 if oyu want to use LigthSwitch with your Visual Studio:

http://aka.ms/officedevtoolsforvs2015

But not sure if that will work or not, there are some other posts if you search in google about LightSwitch with Visual Studio 2015.

Hi,
Thanks for the info.

after reading and installing officedevtools, i got the option to migrate to vs2015... but now a new error:
"Birthright Manager\Birthright Manager.ls3proj: The project can not be upgraded to this version of Visual Studio. Use Visual Studio 2012 with Update 2 or later to update the project and follow the manual steps in : http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=275855"

I will start downloading vs2012 unless some1 can help me with this.

You could try asking in the official forums for LightSwitch, maybe people there have other ideas:

https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-us/home?forum=lightswitch
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?category=vslightswitch

Sorry not being more helpful with this.
